A different and impressionist view on the city I used to live and work, now went back to as a tourist and saw it with new eyes.
ICMs taken from a long distance of two skyscrapers and furthermore Delftse Poort (to the right) and Marriott (to the left). A filter experiment to complement this set.

An immensely big building by Rem Koolhaas dominates De Kop van Zuid. By using ICM the three parts seem to have a different height, which is not the case, reason of which I used a second image to emphasise this effect. Exposure 1/30 F/22 @ 24 mm.

How many people will have spent their last night in this hotel to check in the next morning at the SS Rotterdam and sail for New York? It survived bombing in May 1940 and survived destructive renovation plans in the eighties. The hotel is now surrounded by tall skyscrapers with complimentary colours.

I still have to find out what this is, or was, as I can't find it on the web. Anyway, the facade of this dominant building sporting two large chimneys was in the shade which did beautiful things with the colours. The windows partly reflect the boat I was on. Exposure 0,7 sec F/8 @ 116 mm.
